“I love making the stuff, that’s sort of the core of it. I love creating the stuff. It’s so satisfying to get from the beginning to the end, from a shaky nothing idea to something that’s well formed and the audience really likes. It’s like a drug: You keep trying to do it again and again and again. I’ve learned from experience that if you work harder at it, and apply more energy and time to it, and more consistency, you get a better result. It comes from the work.”—Louis C.K. There are still so many questions around Foolproof’s “UX Power 500” list but I’m determined to crack their code. I managed to peek at some of the data and reverse-engineer the results to guess at some of their criteria. It’s not perfect, but we all know User Experience isn’t about perfection.
Habit of referring to espresso as ‘expresso.’
Pretty sure the reason why I made it to the UX Power 500 list (#383 holla!!) is because I helped Dan Willis (@uxcrank) hold a spontaneous dance party at Midwest UX 2011. Or because I taught Denise Philipsen (@theguigirl) how to jazz square. That’s my theory, anyway.
